Medcare MSO is the 3rd largest USA-based Healthcare IT organization in Pakistan, with 800+ people on board. We implement best practices and adopt state-of-the-art technology tools to achieve results. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator who can work with our agile development team. Your Job responsibilities are setting up database architecture for new products in collaboration with the software architect, managing database operations, and recommending solutions to complex problems, that use both MS SQL and No SQL databases.

Responsibilities:

• Writing SQL procedures, scripts, and queries to select, insert, update, delete, and report data.
• Work on database replication creation and adding new databases in replication.
• Optimizing databases by applying indexes, building additional collections, and optimizing execution plans.
• General schema building, schema maintenance activities, supporting developers and quality assurance team during development, testing, and release activities.
• Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
• Provide solutions based on user requirements and help the development team by writing scripts for them.
• Ensure all database programs meet the company’s performance requirements.
• Research and suggest the best deployment model based on product needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or a degree in a relevant field.
• 8 + years of experience required dealing with MS SQL with proven 2+ years of experience in health care IT.
• Hands-on database management i.e. deployment, replications, maintaining backups, permissions, recovery, security, reporting, and monitoring.
• Experience working with software development teams.
• An ability to work independently and understand the business requirements to provide the solution to stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
